Although the Bermuda Championship field is quite weak, it will include some interesting names such as Garrick Higgo and Thomas Detry.

Butterfield Bermuda Championship Offright Bets

Aaron Rai (+1 3500 )span styling=”font-weight 400 ;”>: Aaron Rai had a strong start to his 2022-2023 campaign. He finished 20th and 36th in the first two starters, and managed to score 7.0 strokes at The Shriners Children’s Open. He was also 5th in the DP World Tour’s Italian Open last month.

Rai is a master at fairways. He ranks third in the field for Fairways Gained over the past 24 rounds. Port Royal Golf Club should have the perfect combination of Rai’s accuracy off the tee and his strong iron play (6th in approach).

He has four wins on the DP World Tour and is a player who knows how win.

Chesson hadley (+7000).span styling=”font-weight 400 ;”>: Chesson had a strong season 2021-2022 and is off to a good start for this season. He was 37th in a strong Shriner’s field, and he also gained 3.0 strokes on approach.

Hadley participated in this event in 2020, and finished 16th. In Strokes Gained Approach, Hadley ranked third in the field. He is a player who can heat up on Bermudagrass greens and is a great player. He has gained more than 7.0 strokes with his putter seven times, and all seven were on Bermudagrass greens. In an event where some of the most skilled putters are competing, I will take the man with the highest ceiling.

Scott Piercy (+9000).span styling=”font-weight 400 ;”>: Scott Piercy held a strong lead at the 3M Open, before succumbing to his injuries on Sunday. He played some great golf to make it to contention in the first three rounds, even though it was painful to watch.

Piercy was at Port Royal Golf Club in 2020. He had a strong showing and finished in 14th. He is a strong player in short games (4th in field after 24 rounds) as well as a pro at making birdies in groups (10th in field in Birdie or Better (24 rounds).

Piercy has also had success on similar courses in his past. He was also the Barbasol Open winner at RTJ Trail (Grand National), which was a Robert Trent Jones event. He finished second at the Sony Open, a course that is coastal resort-type.

Although he is difficult to trust once he is in contention, he is a much better player than the odds would suggest.

Akshay Bhattia (+25000) span style=”font weight: 400 ;”>: Although he experienced some ups and downs on the Korn Ferry Tour last year, I believe Akshay Bhattia is a future star. The North Carolina native, who is only 20 years old, won the Jones Cup 2019 and was the No. The No. 1-ranked junior in the nation and the first high schooler to be a part of the winning United States Walker Cup Team in 2019, was the North Carolina native.

His first KFT start was at the Bahamas Great Exuma Classic, Sandals Emerald Bay. He should be able to win on a coastal resort course that can be quite difficult, which will help him to compete in Bermuda.
