Golf’s silly season continues this week, with professional tours taking a holiday break.
Sunday’s 2022 PNC Championship concludes with a field of major champions as well as their families. In 1995, the inaugural PNC Championship was held. It featured 10 major winner men with their sons. The field has expanded to include 20 professional golfers and their families in a 36-hole scramble at Orlando’s Ritz-Carlton Golf Club.
Justin Thomas and Mike Thomas shot a 15-under-57 round in the first round. This is tied for second in tournament history. They have a two-shot advantage heading into the final round. After shooting 59, Vijay Singh and his son Qass are now at 13 under. Tiger Woods and Charlie are also at 13 under.
