Dan Rooney, 12 years old, had aspirations to be a professional golfer and fighter pilot.
Folds of Honor began 15 years ago in Lt. Col. Dan Rooney’s garage. Through the power of the PGA of America, and the sport everyone enjoys, the goal was to help military families whose loved one had been killed in action.
Donations are collected by the foundation to fund scholarships for military families. They have awarded 44,000 scholarships and $220 million in education since the foundation was founded.
