“5 birdies and 1 bogey. No subpoenas.” Max Homa and Collin Morikawa had a lot of fun throwing the McIlroy/Reed Tee.

Max Homa, the golf Twitter GOAT, is Max Homa. If you disagree with Max Homa’s opinion, then you are wrong.

He dropped another gem Wednesday. This time, it was a reference to the Rory McIlroy/Patrick Reed Tee-throwing incident, which lit up the social media world Wednesday morning.

Reed was captured on video launching a tee at world No. McIlroy was not able to speak to Reed when he approached McIlroy on the range.

It actually happened.

McIlroy’s lackluster excitement at seeing Reed could be due to a subpoena that Reed’s lawyers gave him on Christmas Eve.

Homa finished T-19 with a 4-under-68 score in the Farmers Insurance Open’s first round. After the round, he quickly pulled out his phone and sent a tweet to Collin Morikawa, his playing partner.
