Chandler Phillips was calm throughout the day, except for his two final putts. When you are playing for your first professional win, nerves can grow.
Former Texas A&M stamdout shot a 4-under-par 68 to win his first Korn Ferry Tour victory Wednesday at the Bahamas Great Exuma Classic Sandals Emerald Bay. Phillips was able to see where he stood thanks to the scoreboard at the 18 th green. However, he was able to put his par putt on the last hole to maintain a two-shot advantage at 14 under. 18.

Cody Blick finished T-2 at 12 over, while Peter Knade was T-2 at 13 under. Wil Bateman and Daniel Miernicki were T-4 at 11 below. Akshay Bhatia, Akshay Bathia, Brett Drewitt and Shad Tuten were T-4. Tuten, who had missed the cut in two of his previous starts in the Bahamas was now in control of the 54-hole lead. Bhatia, however, was trying to become the second player to defend the KFT title.
The KFT will host its Bahamas Great Abaco Classic at The Abaco Club in Winding Bay next week. The event follows a Sunday to Wednesday format.
