Talk about expanding the game.
Two weeks ago, we discovered that the NFL had added a long-distance contest in its lineup of Pro Bowl events.
The NHL has begun to incorporate golf into its All-Star weekend celebrations. This might seem natural, considering the fact that many NHL players enjoy playing golf in their spare time.
The 2023 NHL All-Star Skills will be held February 3 in Sunrise, Florida. It will feature three new events: Discover NHL Tendy Tandem and Enterprise NHL Splash Shot.
According to the NHL website, NHL Pitch ‘n’ Puck will see players combine their golf and hockey skills on a par-4 hole with an island green. Six players will compete. The winner is the player who sinks the puck/ball with the least number of shots, using both hockey and golf shots. The longest drive, if there is a tie determines the winner.
On Friday, February 3, at 7 p.m. ET, the NHL Skills will air on ESPN. The league has not yet announced the names of those who will be participating.
The NFL Pro Bowl activities will be held in Las Vegas over two days: Thursday, February 2nd and Sunday, February 5th.
