Patrick Reed would like to return to golf. Many are distracted by the Dubai Desert Classic incident.
It was ‘s tee position with Rory McIlroy . There were also questions about his third round drop from the tee shot. McIlroy finished one shot ahead of him during the Monday finish.
Reed missed a par-4 17th hole shot, and he claimed he was 100 percent certain that his ball had hit a tree. He took a fall, made bogey and then birdied the par-5 18th hole to complete his round on Sunday.
The video was shared by a golf coach on Twitter. This raised questions about Reed’s ability to identify the correct ball. Reed would have had to walk back to play his third shot from the tee if he couldn’t find his ball in the tree. He also wouldn’t be able to prove that it was still there.
Brandel Chamblee, Reed’s current plaintiff has also posted a Twitter video describing the event.

After the round, Reed said that he would have gone back to the Tee if his ball wasn’t in the tree. The video of Chamblee was viral and sparked more debate about whether Reed made an illegal drop.
Reed posted a Twitter statement responding to the allegations Tuesday. He said that the drop was a “non issue”.
This is my opinion on Dubai Desert Classic. Perhaps it is time to get back into playing golf. All the best. pic.twitter.com/sTUHOHzkPF
