Uggetti stated that the caddie received CPR while being transported to an ambulance. Uggetti also reported that PGA Tour officials encouraged Hossler to play again, but McGreevy and Hossler were not comfortable with continuing play.
Uggetti reported that PGA Tour officials had offered to allow players to step aside in order for other groups of players through. However, McGreevy informed Uggetti that he could not see his group resuming on Friday.
Players and caddies are now hugging one another. Lukas Nelson, another amateur, told me that the caddie who fell is “doing much better.” Now, the group is heading back to the clubhouse for regrouping. It is not clear if they will continue to play.

This was especially shocking in light of the recent incident that involved safety Damar Hamlin from the Buffalo Bills. He suffered a cardiac arrest on Jan. 2 during a matchup between the Cincinnati Bengals and the National Football League.
Hamlin fell with 5:58 left in the first quarter. The game was temporarily suspended, but then postponed. Before he could be transferred to the University of Cincinnati for further treatment and testing, his heartbeat was reestablished on the field.
According to Todd Lewis, Golf Channel’s Todd Lewis, Hossler & McGreevy will return to the 11th green once all groups have played and resume their second round.
