Maverick McNealy had high expectations going into the week. California native Maverick McNealy was enjoying a round of golf at one of his favorite spots on Earth. His week ends earlier than he expected.
McNealy pulled out of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am in the third round due to a left shoulder injury.
He opened the tournament with back-toback 71s at Spyglass Hill, Monterey Peninsula, and entered day three as 1 under. McNealy called it “a tournament” after making a double-bogey 7 at the par-5 18, his ninth hole of the day. Through nine holes, he was 2 over.
McNealy was added to the entry lists for next week’s WM Phoenix Open. It is not yet known if he will play on Thursday.
