Fred Perpall, President of the USGA, adds his name to the list of people who have broken down barriers for the good of golf

The United States Golf Association was founded in 1894 and is deeply rooted in American golf. It is rare for a 130-year-old organisation to make history. But the USGA made history last week when elected its new president.

Fred Perpall will be the 67th president. He will also serve a term of three years. As the USGA Executive Committee’s all-volunteer policy-making body, he will oversee the USGA Executive Committee. This committee provides strategic direction and oversight for the full-time staff. What is the significance? The significance?
