In one round, nineteen putts Augusta National
Two weeks until the Masters, and many players have traveled to Augusta, Georgia in recent weeks to practice.
No. Rory McIlroy, World No. 3, is one such player. Last week, he was between missing the cut at Players Championship and before the WGC-Dell Technologies match play. One of his rounds seemed to be quite special.
McIlroy beat Scott Stallings by 3 and 1 Wednesday at Austin Country Club. He was then asked about the rumor that he had 19 putts during a practice round.
Wait, how many putts did Rory make in the practice round at Augusta National last Thursday? pic.twitter.com/CanTVhw2qD

McIlroy stated, “Yeah. Look, I had two great days.” It was great, we played 54 holes in just two days. “I was very happy with the results of my game.”
McIlroy used and a Scotty Cameron Newport putter this week. If he can rekindle the old flame, there is a possibility he could put on a green jacket within two weeks to complete the career grand slam.
