The first round of the Zurich Classic of New Orleans has been completed at TPC Louisiana. It was an absolute slugfest.
Matt Fitzpatrick, along with his brother Alex, had a great start. They signed for a 10-under-62 best-ball and were tied at the top of the clubhouse when they left the course.
Keith Mitchell/Sungjae Im (A story that you must read to believe) was another team to cross the double-digit barrier and finish the day with 10 under, alongside David Lipsky/Aaron Rai, and Henrik Norlander/Luke List.
After 18 holes, Beau Hossler/Wyndham and Brandon Matthews/Sean O’Hair are both at 11 under.
