Talor Gooch led by four holes after the first 18 holes of the LIV Golf Adelaide event at Grange Golf Club.
After starting on the par-3 12, he played his first 10 holes at 4 under, then he got hot. Gooch birdied Nos. The final four holes, Nos. The 31-year old has not finished in the top 10 in his three LIV starts this season, but is well positioned to win his first title in the Saudi Arabian-backed circuit.
Richard Bland and Dean Burmester are four shots behind Gooch at 6 under. Burmester made an eagle at the par-4 eight, and Bland also had a clean day.
Eight players tied for ninth place at 4 under. Five tied for fourth place at 5 under.

Cam Smith and Brooks Koepka are both T-17 at 3 under. Phil Mickelson and Dustin Johnson are tied for 24th place at 2 under, while Dustin Johnson is T-29 with 1 under.
