Tom Hoge, who competed in the NCAA Tournament in Fort Worth, Texas, walked from the Texas Christian University campus nearby to Colonial Country Club for the final round of PGA Tour.
Hoge, who was near the top of leaderboard in the Charles Schwab Challenge’s opening round on Thursday, didn’t watch the game. He made the shot of day as part of a strong closing stretch.
Hoge birdied his 15th and final hole on the day, starting on the back nine. He then went even better by dropping a slam dunk eagle at the par-4 7th as he holed it out from 154 yard.

He now has 4 under par for the round.
Hoge’s chance to perform well on the legendary course, which will undergo a major renovation after this week’s tournament concludes, could erase his three-year streak of missing the cut.
“This is my home.” Since 2007, when I first came to TCU. Hoge told reporters before the tournament that it would be “awesome”. “I don’t think about it much because I missed the cut the last couple of years. This week I have taken on a few more responsibilities, and there is a bit more pressure for me to perform.
Hoge admitted that the pressure of playing at home in recent years has had some benefits.
He said, “It is nice to sleep in your own bed but once you’re on the road it’s easier to get into the tournament week routine.” “I’m doing more around the house, some chores and other stuff like that this week.”
