Michael Block shook the world of golf with a T-15 at the 2023 PGA Championship, after a finish at Oak Hill.
Michael Block, the club pro of Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club in Mission Viejo in California, spent a week in Rochester, New York, that he will never forget. Block, who is currently one of golf’s biggest names, has had a week to remember in Rochester, New York.
After Oak Hill, Block received a flood of sponsor invitations, which led him to change his flight from California back to Fort Worth to play at Colonial.
Block is not a newcomer to the golf world. Block has played in more than 25 PGA Tour tournaments, including two U.S. He’s played in over 25 PGA Tour events, including two U.S. Opens and five PGA Championships. Block was also named Southern California PGA Player of the year nine times between 2012-2022.
The T-15 he achieved at Oak Hill earned him not only a few sponsor invitations but also an exemption to the 2024 PGA Championship in Louisville, Kentucky at Valhalla Golf Club. Let’s enjoy the Block Party until then.
