The new college golf postseason tournament is now in the books.
The inaugural National Golf Invitational was held earlier this month. The new National Golf Invitational. The goal of every team is to reach the NCAA Championship. However, there are some teams that qualify for NCAA Regionals but don’t make it.
Golfweek and Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club, located in Maricopa (Arizona), just south of Phoenix hosted the first National Golf Invitational. Penn State was the winner of the women’s championship, while Texas State claimed the title for the men.
The week was special for many reasons, but also a major step forward in the postseason of college golf.
