SOUTH ROCKWOOD (Michigan) – The owners of a South Rockwood Golf Course are offering a reward to anyone who can provide information on vandalism committed over night May 26.
The No. 2 green at Wesburn Golf and Country Club sustained significant damage during the overnight hours of May 26 from 9 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. South Rockwood Police Department released a press release stating that the No. 2 green was damaged at Wesburn Golf and Country Club. The course is located about 30 minutes away from downtown Detroit.
The release stated that the culprits took numerous divots from the green with a golfclub, which forced the hole to be taken out of play until it was repaired.
The police released a statement that said, “The person or persons who were disgruntled then broke the golf club in half and stuck broken parts of the club into the green to symbolize their work.”

Police said, “This is yet another criminal act committed on Wesburn Golf course in the last two month.”
Owners of Wesburn Golf and Country Club are offering a cash reward of $2,000 for any information that leads to the arrest and convictions of those responsible for the damage.
