Los Angeles Country Club will host the 123rd U.S. Open, the third major men’s championship of the season.
Matt Fitzpatrick is the defending champion after he beat Will Zalatoris at The Country Club, Brookline, Massachusetts last year.
In 2023, two major winners were already crowned: Jon Rahm won the Masters in April while Brooke Koepka won the PGA Championship.
Scheffler, Rahm and Koepka are the favorites to win in LA.
Next Thursday, the field will consist of 156 golfers when the first round starts. So far, 150 players have qualified.
After the Monday release of the updated Official World Golf Ranking, all remaining spots will be filled. The USGA will decide which alternates will be admitted if there are still spots available.
