SPRINGFIELD (N.J.) — The broadcast schedule for 2023 KPMG Women’s PGA in Baltusrol features uninterrupted coverage by Callaway during the final hour of NBC’s Sunday broadcast. The Women’s PGA is the first to feature commercial-free broadcasting.
This year, NBC Sports has a new record of 26 hours coverage at the Baltusrol Golf Club located in Springfield, New Jersey. This is almost twice as many hours as last year’s Congressional tournament, when fans missed much of the final day and In Gee Chun’s first 64.
The weekend coverage last year was exclusively NBC, and included three hours per day. This year’s coverage begins at 11 a.m. ET on Peacock Satuday and then on NBC between 3-6 p.m.
There are also five hours of pre-tournament coverage onsite from 12 noon to 5 pm E.T. On Tuesday and Wednesday, as well as an hour of pre-round and after-round coverage on Thursday and Sunday.
Mollie Marcoux-Samaan, LPGA commissioner, said: “I think that we all agreed on this.” She was speaking about the importance of increasing television hours during this major.
“Let’s get as many hours and exposure as we can.” There was no pushback at all. We all agreed that it was something important to do, and we made a commitment. I think we know this really matters. “I think we have a long way to go.”
