SPRINGFIELD (N.J.) — The KPMG women’s PGA Championship purse more than doubled over the last two years. It went from $4.5m in 2021, to $10m this week, at Baltusrol Golf Club. Ruoning Yi took home $1.5m, one of only a few women’s seven-figure cheques, for her dramatic win.
Stephanie Meadow, from Ireland, played in the final groups on Sunday. She finished tied for third place. This was her best major finish. The $423.070 check she received was almost six times more than what she had earned all season.

The players who did not make the cut for this week’s game received a check of $4,000 to cover their expenses.
