Michelle Wie West’s career has been incredibly successful, but it will end at the U.S. Women’s Open in 2023.
Wie West’s last tournament will be at Pebble Beach. It will mark the end of one of the most successful female golf careers in history. She was born in Honolulu and qualified for the U.S. Women’s Amateur at age 10. Wie West was also the youngest woman to win the U.S. Amateur Public Links, and the youngest person to qualify for a LPGA Tour event. She became a professional in 2005, shortly before turning 16 years old. Her only major was the U.S. Women’s Open.
Wie West married Jonnie West on August 10, 2019. Jonnie West is the son of Jerry West, and Director of Basketball Operations for the Golden State Warriors. The couple have one child.
