Beacon Hill, designed by Johnny Miller and abandoned in Virginia, will be reborn.

Jul, 2023

Resort Development Partners has acquired the former Beacon Hill Golf Club in Leesburg, Virginia. The company plans to bring golf back to the property by 2024.

The course was originally called Golf Club of Virginia and opened in 2001. It featured a layout by Johnny Miller, a former PGA Tour player. Original plans included a Jack Nicklaus-designed second course. Beacon Hill was later renamed, and the club closed in 2006 due to financial problems. Since then, the property has been neglected.
