Royal Liverpool will host the Open Championship in 2023 for the first time since 2009.
Rory McIlroy was the 2014 Champion Golfer after beating Rickie fowler and Sergio Garcia. McIlroy finished third in St. Andrews, last year. He is coming off of a fantastic win at the Genesis Scottish Open. McIlroy battled tough conditions and birdied the final two hole.
