The final match of 2023 U.S. The Junior Amateur is held at Daniel Island Club, Charleston in South Carolina.
The 36-hole final will be played on Saturday. Bryan Kim (18) and Joshua Bai (17) will compete. The match begins at 8 a.m. ET and will resume at 1:30 pm after lunch. Golf Channel will be covering the event from 3:30-5.30 p.m.
Kim, from Brookeville in Maryland, defeated Will Hartman, from Charlotte, North Carolina with 2 to 1.
Kim, a Duke University freshman, said, “I couldn’t have imagined this last year, after missing the cuts, and the year prior, but I knew that my game was in a great spot this year.” “I wasn’t getting the results I wanted in the summer tournaments, but I knew that I was improving. I worked hard on my game and felt I was due to play good golf. So hopefully, I can keep this up and bring home the championship.”
Kim has been to the U.S. twice before. Kim did not make it past the match play phase of Junior Amateur.
Billy Davis, from Spring Valley, California, was defeated by Bai 3 to 1. He is aiming to become the fourth New Zealander USGA champion.

The winner of the U.S. Open at Pinehurst No. in 2024 will be entitled to an exemption. 2.
