Cameron Smith’s Sunday theme was three.

The World No. 3 played in the Australian PGA Championship, his first appearance in three years. The World No. 3 went into the final round leading by three shots at Royal Queensland, his home course in Brisbane. The Aussie won the event with a final round 3-under 68, beating Ryo Hisatsune (three shots behind) and Jason Scrivener (two shots behind). Smith, 29 years old, won the Australian PGA Championship twice in 2017 and 2018.

Smith began the year by winning the Sentry Tournament of Champions in January through a playoff with Jon Rahm. Smith won the Players Championship in March, and the Open Championship July. He joined LIV Golf in august. Smith won five of the five events on the upstart circuit, which was led by Greg Norman, and was backed by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund.
