Rory McIlroy is two shots behind Hurly Long heading into the final round of The K Club, Ireland. McIlroy won at The K Club in 2016.
McIlroy had a great moment on Wednesday, during a practice session. Thanks to the Make-a-Wish Foundation, he let Michael Horgan, a 7-year-old boy with a brain tumour, walk alongside him on the 9th hole.
McIlroy didn’t just record a video, he let Horgan experience professional golf up close.
Horgan sat on the cart next to McIlroy as they drove up McIlroy’s final hole for the day. Horgan helped McIlroy with his yardage on the approach shot.
McIlroy handed Horgan his putter when they reached the green. Michael’s birdie attempt sped by and he said: “My father always tells to me to hit it soft.”
