The BMW PGA Championship, held at the Wentworth Club in Surrey, England is one of the most important events on the DP World Tour calendar.
Shane Lowry narrowly escaped Rory McIlroy last year — his final putt resting on the lip at the 72nd to force a play-off — for his sixth European Circuit win. Lowry, who failed to qualify for the FedEx Cup Playoffs missed the cut at D+D Real Czech Masters. Lowry tied for third place at The K Club’s Irish Open last week.
This week, all 12 European Ryder Cup players are on the field, along with Tom Kim Adam Scott Billy Horschel Min Woo Lee.
