Oct, 2023

Last week, the second stage of LPGA Q-School was held in Venice, Florida. Of the 188 participants who began the week, only 41 made it to the next round. Nine amateurs were among the 41. LSU’s Ingrid Lindblad was one of them. She won by four strokes and had an 18-under score.

Lindblad is a senior in her fifth year and currently ranked No. The World Amateur Golf Ranking was topped by Lindblad, a fifth-year senior who is currently No. The LPGA changed the Q-Series criteria last year. Players must now turn professional to compete for an LPGA Card.

Lindblad has decided to return to school for another semester.

Lindblad said, “At first, I thought I would just do the Q-Series, then go home. But I talked to my coaches and realized that I like it here at LSU. Our coaches are amazing. I want to give this team a chance at another SEC title and perhaps a national championship.

Lindblad has been granted Epson Tour status until 2024.
