The 60th position on the CME point list is the cut-off for the season’s final event, which has a purse of $7 million. The 100th position is more important to many players. Top 100 players in the list of points will receive full cards until 2024. The top 80 players receive the highest status.
Emily Kristine Pedersen, the midway leader at The Annika Driven by Gainbridge, holds a two stroke lead after rounds of 65-63 at Pelican golf club put her on 12 under. Pedersen, who entered the week at 80th place on the CME ranking list, is expected to rise to 34th if she wins her first LPGA event. Pedersen will need to work hard, but she is well-positioned to move up into the top 60.
