Chase Johnson also claimed the APGA Farmers Insurance Fall Series bonus of $10,000. He won both of the fall events. Johnson has won three APGA events this season. Johnson also made it to the PGA Tour World Wide Technology Championship, and is currently competing in the Tour’s Butterfield Bermuda Championship. He has also been awarded a spot at the Farmers Insurance Open in 2024.

Ellerbrock’s win is a rebound from the tough loss he suffered to Johnson in Texas.

“After losing to Chase Johnson in a play-off last month at APGA Farmers Insurance Austin it’s really rewarding to win my next race,” he said. Ellerbrock finished as one of only five players to finish under par. He was the only golfer who broke 70 and won by 3 shots.

Bryan Gorman, the uncle of Ellerbrock, played on PGA Tour between 1991 and 1993.

The APGA Tour, a non-profit organisation founded in 2010, was created with the goal of bringing greater diversity to golf.
