Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund isn’t afraid to spend money to attract the best PGA Tour players to play for LIV Golf.
Jon Rahm does not fall into this category. He’s actually the new bar.
The exact amount has not yet been determined but estimates range from $400 million to $60 million. The Telegraph stated that the exact figure was $566 million. Of this, $302 million was paid up front.
Rahm would be the only athlete to earn more than $500,000,000 in his career with these figures. He is also the defending Masters Champion and an 11-time PGA Tour champion. At 29, he would be the youngest.
According to Forbes , if the estimated signing bonus for Rahm is true, then he will be the highest paid athlete in the entire world by 2023.

Rahm said that $400 million dollars wouldn’t make a difference to his lifestyle when asked before about moving to LIV golf. He did admit that money was a factor.
