He was also the honorary chair of the U.S. Amateur 2023, held at Cherry Hills Country Club in Colorado. The Amateur was held at Cherry Hills Country Club, Colorado.

It was therefore fitting that on Wednesday, the Pro Football Hall of Famer, Jim Brown, would be the recipient of the Ambassador of Golf Award in 2024. The award will be presented in July at the Kaulig Companies Championship – a major event of the PGA Tour Champions – held at Firestone Country Club, Akron in Ohio.

The award is given to a golfer who has “promoted the ideals of the sport on an international scale and whose concern for others extends far beyond the course.”
