The golf beat is no longer what it used to be. COVID and technological advances are among the many factors that have changed this. The media centers are shrinking, Zoom calls and transcriptions allow you to follow players and tournaments remotely. It is also becoming more difficult to get players to be available as they are pulled in many directions by sponsors or other obligations.
At Golfweek we continue to send our live bodies out on the road throughout the year, including the PGA Tour and LPGA Tours, the USGA Championships, amateur events, college events, and silly-season events.
We were able to secure a few great Q&As for 2023, away from the online pressers and media scrums. This allowed us to get a closer look at the fascinating personalities who make this game so great.
