Harold Varner III, a member of LIV Golf , was arrested in Charlotte, North Carolina, on Thursday for driving “while under the influence”.
Varner III recorded a blood alcohol level of.16 during a breathalyzer, which is double the legal limit for driving. Around 7:30 p.m. Varner III, was booked in the Mecklenburg County Jail at 7:30 p.m. ET. His bond was $500. According to court records he has been released after posting bail.
Varner III will appear in court for the first time on January 19, 2024.
The May LIV D.C. event was won by Varner III, a member of the RangeGoats GC who was traded in this offseason to Dustin Johnson’s 4Aces GC. Varner III placed in the top 10 of the individual competition five times out of 13 starts.
