What You Need to Know: Ai Smart Face, the center of Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Drivers is the same technology that powers the new Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Fairway Woods and Hybrids. Four models are available: Calaway Paradym Smoke Max Calaway Paradym Smoke Max D and Calaway Paradym Smoke Max Fast. The carbon chassis, like the drivers, is lighter. This allows for the redistribution of 24 grams throughout the head to enhance launch, spin and forgiveness. Engineers use a tungsten cartridge in Paradym to move the CG forward and low. The hybrid lineup – Callaway Paradym AI Smoke Max, Callaway Paradym AI Smoke MaxHL, Callaway Paradym AE Smoke Max Fast – uses similar technology, but with a deeper profile and more sole-camber than the previous models.

- Ai Smart Face Callaway has developed a new Ai Smart Face for every driver model based on swing dynamics from thousands of golfers. Swing speed and club delivery were taken into consideration to design club faces that would provide optimal launch and dispersion.
- Carbon chassis The Paradym AISmoke fairway woods, excluding Triple Diamond, feature a chassis made of carbon to allow for a weight distribution that is at the discretionary player.

Callaway Ai Smoke Max : Ai Smoke Max is designed for golfers of all levels and promotes neutral ball flight.
Callaway Ai Smoke Max D : Ai Smoke Max D is the most forgiving in the line-up, with an upright lie and a neutral face to promote a draw bias. The 3-wood can be adjusted.
Callaway Smoke Triple Diamond Paradym: A better player-preferred shape with a deeper, full-grooved face. Neutral or fade-biased. Steel sole with forward weight screw. Adjustable hosel.
Callaway Smoke Max Ai: Lightweight to allow for slower swing speed. Hosel is bonded. Light shaft and grip.

How the company designed fairway woods this year:
“We used the same method to categorize real player swings using their fairway woods in order to see where there were similarities or differences. There were many similarities between Max D and Max Fast players in terms of path and face angles, but we saw consistently different impact positions. We noticed impact locations lower on the player’s face. Swing Codes swinging down on the ball were found on all of these products. Smoke Max is our core product segment. Impact locations are still lower, but slightly above the center line. The Triple Diamond player had consistent impact locations in the middle of the face .”
Fairway Wood Improvements from Original Paradym:
“We were happy to be able to use the composite sole in Paradym but still needed to reinforce it using steel to ensure quality and durability. Our composites team was tasked with getting us to a place where we had a driver with a fully carbon chassis. With a full-carbon sole and crown we were able free up 24 grams and reinvent [the club]. The half is going forward to our tungsten cartridge for low spin, distance and the other half is going backwards to increase our MOI .”
