Lexi Thompson had an interesting year last year. Thompson missed cuts in eight of her 10 first events of 2023. This included a run of five consecutive misses from the U.S. Women’s Open up to the Portland Classic.
After leaving the Pacific Northwest, something clicked.
Thompson’s final four LPGA starts for the year saw her finish T-19 (Kroger QCC), T-8(Walmart NW Arkansas Championship), fifth (The Ascendant LPGA), and T-7 (The Annika). Thompson had a 3-1-0 score at the Solheim Cup. In December, she also tied for sixth with Rickie Foller in the inaugural Grant Thornton Invitational.
Thompson, who had a great 2023 season, has now hired a full-time caddie to help him in the upcoming 24 season.
