Gamblers? But gamblers?
After leaving a short approach on par 4, 432-yards, Spieth was clearly upset. He also mused aloud about how he had given himself a difficult par two-putt.
Spieth’s first putt was from 54 feet away. He immediately started to follow it, clearly unhappy with his line. He was pleased with the result, and had three feet to spare his four.
Spieth stood for a second at the par putt and calmly drilled it to stay at 4 under.
However, it is clear that the University of Texas graduate could be heard by some observers wagering on whether or not he will win.
He sank the ball and walked towards the back of the green to tell the pair that he had overheard their activities.
Spieth stated, “I appreciate the exchange money and I’d do the same thing but I could hear you guys gambling, right from the back of the green.”
Boy have I missed watching Spieth play golf, it’s great to be back…This exchange was AMAZING pic.twitter.com/C93ea8kcNO
