Hideki Matsuyama was the one to beat Russell Henley last year at the Sony Open in Hawaii. This run included the best 3-wood strike of the season. Next week, the 2021 Masters champion will be back in Waialae for the 2023 edition.
Jordan Spieth, world No. Matsuyama will be joined by 15 Tom Kim, Henley and Corey Conners. Billy Horschel, Adam Scott, and Billy Horschel are also included on the list.
Waialae Country Club has a par 70 layout that measures just over 7,000 meters. The original design of the golf course was by Seth Raynor, before it was restored by Tom Doak in 2017.
