Xander Schauffele was not at ease entering the PGA Tour’s first event of the year. He confessed to his handicapper that he had an ailing back.
“Just trying to find out what it is. After opening the 2023 Sentry Tournament of Champions, Schauffele stated that it was a “bummer” after he had scored a 3-under 70.
Golf Channel’s 2019 TOC winner said he was hitting 80 percent. It’s not an easy way to play golf.
Schauffele called it quits during Friday’s second round after having played eight holes in one over. Schauffele withdrew from Wednesday’s pro-am earlier in week.
The sixth-ranked player in the world stated that he would seek additional treatment after the tournament and that he was returning home.
Due to a back injury, Xander Schauffele will be withdrawing from the Sentry Tournament of Champions.
