During the week of PGA Tour’s AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, the Saudi International in Saudi Arabia was held. This Asian Tour event is sponsored by the Public Investment Fund. The same people who support the LIV Golf series have caused a split in the golf community in the last year. They are also involved in several lawsuits against Tour.
According to a report by Golf Channel , a few PGA Tour players have requested and been granted release to play in the Saudi International. It will take place at Royal Greens Golf and Country Club from February 2-5.
The report did not include details about how many players were given conflicting-event or media releases. The event was a DP World Tour stop before LIV Golf.
