Monday’s announcement by the PGA Tour included the addition of a few future leaders and a 16-member Player Advisory Council.
Maverick McNealy and Adam Scott have been chosen to run for PAC Chair. The election will end February 13. Charley Hoffman will be replaced as a Player Director by the PGA Tour Policy Board (board or directors). The term will last three years (2024-2026). Current Player Directors include Rory McIlroy (2022-24), Peter Malnati (2023-25), Webb Simpson (2023-25), and Patrick Cantlay (2023).
This release comes less than 24hrs after Paul Azinger claimed that serving on the PAC – a group composed of players who advise and counsel the PGA Tour Policy Board Commissioner Jay Monahan regarding issues affecting Tour – was “a colossal wasted time” during the Sony Open.
