Aaron Rodgers wins a second golf event at the 2023 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am

Feb, 2023

Over the past two years, Aaron Rodgers has won more golf trophies than in football.

Green Bay Packers quarterback, and four-time MVP, won the 2023 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am with his professional partner Ben Silverman at 26 under. They finished one shot ahead of Peter Malnati, Don Colleran (retired FedEx president and CEO), who combined for a stunning 60 in the third round. Mardy Fisch and Charley Hoffman, former tennis players, finished third at 23 under.

Rodgers has won The Match IV with Bryson DeChambeau in 2021 against Phil Mickelson, and Tom Brady in 2021. He teamed up again with Brady to defeat Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen and Keith Mitchell a year later.

It’s truly significant. Rodgers said that it was always on his bucket list. “I have been playing in Tahoe for 18+ years, and I never got higher than eighth.

“But this is quite a big deal for me. It’s not something I will sugarcoat.

“He is an athlete, man. He is a top performer. Silverman said that his partner knows how to accomplish the task and that’s exactly what he did. It wasn’t four days of golf or three rounds of beautiful course, but he made pars when he needed. He was a master at getting it done.”

Weather caused havoc this week and forced the event to be cut to 54 holes by the amateur competition and professionals.

Rodgers stated that Josh Allen had told him there would be an asterisk after this win, as there were only three rounds. “But I believe that our names will be up there for quite a while.”
