Aaron Wise’s second Masters appearance must wait.
On Friday, the 26-year old announced on Instagram that he would be withdrawing from 2023 Masters in order to concentrate on his mental health. He posted a message to his Instagram page, with the caption “This hurts but it’s necessary.” We will see you all soon.
“Regretfully, I am withdrawing form The Masters. The mental aspect of golf is as important as the physical. This has been a difficult time for me lately. While I do not take Augusta’s significance lightly, I know I must take time to improve my mental health before I can return to playing at a level that I am proud of.
Wise made it to the top in seven of 11 starts this year. However, he missed the cut in four out of six of his previous starts. He was sixth at the CJ cup in October.
