In the history of professional sport, there has never been a time when golf was so divided. The emergence of LIV Golf, and the subsequent legal battles, caused most media and fans to take sides, which fractured golf.
Adam Scott used his Instagram story on Thursday to criticize Golfweek’s Eamon Lich, whose verbose rants against LIV members and the LIV have been a constant presence in the media cycle.
The Aussie urged Lynch and other participants to “put aside personal insults and fluffy words” and use facts instead to discuss these controversial issues.
Scott said that “objectivity and truth will probably be the best way to serve this process”.
Earlier this summer, the former Masters Champion was appointed to the Player Advisory Council. Scott is highly respected by his peers, and his words are worth listening to.
