After nine holes, Hideki Matsuyama pulls out of the Houston Open

Hideki Matsuyama has been involved in several injuries since 2022.

He pulled out of the Players Championship prior to the first round due to a back injury. A week before the Masters, he withdrew his entry from the Valero Texas open. After the first round, he withdrew his entry from the 3M Open. He also withdrew his entry from the FedEx St. Jude Championship playoff events due to a neck injury.

Houston is now on the list.

Matsuyama, who opened his third round with a score of 4-over 39 on the front nine, withdrew from Cadence Bank Houston Open at Memorial Park Golf Course due to a neck injury.

He was able to make the cut at the number Saturday morning (even Par).
