The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am on Monterey Peninsula has been challenging this week. There have been many withdrawals and it’s becoming increasingly difficult to keep up with the leaderboard.
Philip Knowles was the first of 15 round-of-15 WDs to start before his Thursday round began. Jonas Blixt replaced him in the field.
Justin Suh was injured in the shoulder and had to withdraw from the first round. Cameron Percy withdrew prior to Friday’s second-round.
The wind picked up on Saturday as the weather started to roll in Friday. The third round was moved an hour earlier due to high winds. Play was suspended until Monday.
Maverick McNealy, who was injured in the left shoulder, called it WD’d during round 3.
Sunday morning, the PGA Tour announced nine additional golfers called it a week in Pebble. Two of them – Carson Young and Will Gordon – are on the list to qualify for the Monday qualifier at McCormick Ranch, Scottsdale.
Gordon shot a 69 at Pebble Beach Golf Links, despite a triple-bogey on the 18th. In the third round, he was 4 over through 15. Young shot 69-77, and was 2 over with four holes remaining in his third round.
All in all, 15 golfers pulled out of the Pro-Am.
