Although Ian Poulter’s reply to the European Ryder Cup tweet account was not intended to be funny but it will make you laugh.
Poulter was 47 on January 10. He represented Europe seven times at the biannual duel against Americans during his professional golf career. The most recent match was in 2021 at Whistling Strits.
Some golfers have broken off all ties with him since his move to LIV Golf Series, which is funded by the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund.
Poulter was aware that he would be getting a cold shoulder by European Ryder Cup organizers once they make the transition. However, he is still disappointed that he didn’t get a birthday shout out.
Remember, Poulter is almost 50 years old.
The Players who helped to build the @RyderCupEurope Brand together with other players is truly an “incredible touching”. It’s impossible to not wish a happy birthday to someone you love. @TheSergioGarcia B’day Yesterday. This says so much.
