Alison Lee ran around the field at the Saudi Arabian Golf Club a week after losing in a LPGA playoff. Lee shot an incredible 61-61-65 in the Ladies European Tour Aramco Team Series at Riyadh golf club.
Lee’s 22-under-par total shattered the LET 36-hole scoring records by six shots.
She finished at 29-under-187, matching the tournament’s scoring record. Carlota Ciganda of Spain, who was the hero at the Solheim Cup recently, finished second solo after rounds of 65, 63, and 67. Charley Hull was third with 18 under.
“I made some really good putts,” Lee said of her brilliant opening. “Statistically [this season], driver, greens-in-regulation, everything’s been really good. “I just haven’t had the confidence to use the putter, and that has been the most important thing.”

Ladies European Tour October 29th, 2023
Last Sunday, Minjee Lee of Australia won the BMW Ladies Championship on the LPGA. Alison Lee has had two other top-10 finishes this season on the LPGA.
Alison’s debut professional win came at the Aramco 2021 event in Sotogrande. Former No. Former No. 1 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking (formerly the World Amateur Golf Ranking), the 28-year-old former UCLA Student turned professional in 2014. He won the final stage of LPGA Q-School.
Lilia Vu is a two-time winner of majors and currently ranks No. In Saudi Arabia, Lilia Vu, ranked No. Minjee placed sixth.
Saudi Arabia’s support for LET events remains controversial, given the many human rights violations that Saudi Arabia is accused of, particularly towards women.
