Parsons Xtreme Golf has announced the official release of its new Gen6 product line. This replaces the previous Gen5 range.
Two driver options (o311 or 0311XF) are included in the new Gen6 stable, along with two fairway woods (0311 and 0211 XF), two hybrids (0311 and 0311XF), two hybrids (0311 and 0311XF), two hybrids (0311 and 0311XF), two iron models (0311 P and 0311XP).
PXG offers two versions of each club type, one for every golfer. The standard 0311 irons and the 0311 P irons provide forgiveness and performance. However, the 0311XF irons and 0311XP irons can be used by players who want extra forgiveness for mishits.
PXG’s website and in-store locations are now selling the Gen 6 clubs. The Gen 6 driver sells for $499 and fairway woods are $299. Hybrids are $289 and irons are $219 each.

PXG’s 0311, 0311 XF drivers
The PXG0311 driver model (pictured above) has a traditional teardrop shape and a compact profile. The PXG0311 XF model, on the other hand, has a wider footprint and a shallower face to aid players who mishit the ball more frequently.
PXG’s new robotic polishing process is available this year. It allows for tighter CT tolerances, which helps to increase ball speeds for users. PXG’s use of high-modular frequency designs has resulted in a better sound and feel.

Each head has a 3-port adjustable weighting system within the sole. Additionally, they are built with high-strength Ti412 faces to increase speed.
The 0311 driver can be ordered in 7.5, 9, and 10.5 degrees. The PXG0311 XF can be ordered in 9, 10.5, and 12 degrees.
PXG’s 0311, 0311 XF fairway timbers
PXG 0311 fairways (13-15, 18 and 21 degrees) as well as the 0311XF fairways (16-17, 19 and 22 degrees), each have adjustable soleweights – three in the 0311 and two in the 0311XF. Each fairway has flat soles that lower the head mass to increase forgiveness. To help turf interaction, the 0311 XF model has a Railed Sole Geometry.
The Gen 6 fairway trees are made with AM355 and HT1770 steel bodies.
PXG’s 0311, 0311 XF hybrids
The hybrids of the PXG 0311 have a smaller shape at address while the 0311XF has a larger, more flexible shape that provides more forgiveness. The soles of the hybrids are flatter than the Gen 6 fairway woodens. In particular, the XF has protruding splitrails to improve turf interaction.
The 0311 hybrids can be purchased in 17-19, 22-25 and 25 degrees. The 0311 XF hybrids come in 19, 25, 28 and 31 degrees.
PXG’s 0311 P & 0311 XF irons
PXG’s 0311 P and 0311XP irons have a 15% thinner face. PXG calls them the “fastest irons ever made” and “softest irons ever made.”
They are made of high strength HT1770 maraging and steel faces. Channels have been milled behind the faces to improve face deflection, launch and ball speeds. PXG’s proprietary XCOR2 material is used between the faces, the back cavity and the face to improve feel, energy transfer, and durability. They are made from five times as much 8620 steel and have been machined to reduce wall thicknesses and improve precision.
PXG’s 0311 P and 0311XP irons now have Tungsten weighting in their low-and back portions to improve launch and forgiveness.
According to PXG the 0311 P irons were made for low-to mid handicappers with moderate offset. The 0311 XP irons, on the other hand, have more offset and are for high handicappers who desire more forgiveness and distance.
