ANTRIM (Northern Ireland) — Ryann O’Toole, who was born in California, now resides in Arizona. She looks at home whenever she crosses the pond.

O’Toole, 36, joined the LPGA back in 2011. In her 11 th season, she won her first title, the Trust Golf Women’s Scottish Open.

She is now in a position to win another title after opening with two birdies and a third round 68 at the ISPS Handa World Invitational, at Galgorm Castle Golf Club.

“Maybe I like playing in Britain.” O’Toole jokingly joked that I should focus on it, to figure it out. Since the victory in Scotland, I’ve tried to make it happen again. Tomorrow, just go out there and see what happens.

Add consecutive birdies to Nos. The lead was 4 under after the 15th and 16th holes. Gabrielle Cowley, however, shot a 67 in the last round to gain a stroke advantage.

O’Toole has clearly improved in recent outings. She followed up five consecutive missed cuts with two top-30 finishes, at the Amundi Evian Championship (major) and the AIG British Women’s Open.

I definitely feel that my game is on the rise. I noticed it in the past couple of weeks. “Things are falling into place. I have been working hard on this.” She said. “Just getting that confidence up there… there are not many erratic shots so it’s really good.”

Her best moment came at the 10th green, where she was forced to chip her shot out after hitting her second into a bush. O’Toole dropped the next chip into the hole after the shot went through the green.

She said, “I’d say that birdie was the highlight.” “It was nice, but I felt very unlucky that I was in the bush. Ball not in the Bush, so one of them.”

Although Galgorm Castle was difficult to play during the first two rounds, several players took advantage of the easier conditions on Saturday. Esther Henseleit is tied with O’Toole in second after shooting 69.

O’Toole is confident that she can double her winnings with just 18 holes left. This event, which is its final play, brings together players from the DP World Tour and Ladies European Tour.

O’Toole, with a win, would be the sixth American winner on the LPGA Tour in this season. She will join three-time winner Lilia Vu, and the quartet Rose Zhang, Allisen Corporation, Cheyenne Knight, and Elizabeth Szokol. O’Toole would be the oldest woman to win on the LPGA Tour this year. She will replace Ashleigh Buhai (34), who won the ShopRite LPGA Classic.

I like to shoot. “I think each hole is unique. You need to be able to control the ball. O’Toole praised the course, saying: “I really like it.” From tee-to-green, you must play shots. You have a lot crosswinds, so you need to be patient and commit to your shots.

There are many holes that can be scored on. It was surprising that today’s holes were shorter. I feel like I missed out on some of the shorter, pushed up tees. “But I was patient and it turned out.”

The AIG Women’s Open and Nelly Korda’s Team Series Presented by PIF – London are the other two LET wins this season that have been won by Americans.

She is the first American woman to win the ISPS Handa World Invitational, presented by Aviv Clinics

At 36 years, six months and eight days old, she would be the oldest LPGA Tour winner this season.

Ashleigh Buhai is the oldest winner of this season. She won the ShopRite LPGA Classic Presented by Acer aged 34 years and one month.
